Thinking of getting some work done at a cafe? This is the place to be! They have delicious coffee, pastries, and toast! I prefer to come to this coffee shop when I need to work away from home. Lots of seating, but a lot of people come here!
Plenty of street parking in the neighborhood and quaint old school building. It was a busy Sunday afternoon with only 2 workers so they looked really stressed. Ordered a hot vanilla latte and iced cappuccino. They gave me an iced vanilla latte instead of a hot one, but I didn't mind because I felt bad for them and how busy they were with only 2 workers. The vanilla latte I really liked, even though it was iced. The vanilla latte had a subtle vanilla flavor and a pinch of sweetness which I really enjoyed since I'm not a fan of super sweet drinks. I'd definitely get the vanilla latte again for the nice combination of espresso, vanilla, and sweetness!
States Coffee has been my go-to in Benicia for a morning coffee and toast. The interior has ample seating, but as it's also geared for laptop workers (power strips, wifi) sometimes seats are all taken. I love the clean spacious tables and bright interior. The toasts are thick. They're big slices slathered with toppings on it in an open-face style. I've enjoyed all the toppings I've tried so far. The feta avocado is my favorite. Not a coffee connoisseur of any kind, but it has caffeine and I'm happy with it. A great place to start my morning or an afternoon cafe spot.
Wow! One of my favorite coffee shops in California. I'm from los angeles and was visiting the area for a week and stopped by this shop every single day while there! Their iced vanilla lattes were so perfectly made I didn't want to order anything else. The employees were always so welcoming and kind, the location is in a perfect place. I would get my morning coffee and walk along the water and the shops. Lots of seating inside to catch up with friends or do work or simply sip on your coffee and people watch. Definitely a highlight of my trip and can't wait to visit again for some more delicious coffee!
States Coffee used to be my old faithful when visiting the area but darn they dropped the ball this visit! I ordered an oat milk honey latte in a for here cup while my friend ordered an oat milk vanilla latte. They were unfortunately out of decaf espresso (it was after 1pm) and had messy tables. I got my drink in a to go cup which peeved me and both drinks tasted awful. My drink tasted like something other than honey and my friend couldn't taste her vanilla at all. Maybe the oat milk changed its flavor profile? Unsure, but I was disappointed non the less.
